Our psychologist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist is registered with the Health Professions Council of SA as a psychometrist and counselling psychologist, with a special interest in Neuropsychology.

 

With over 13-years of experience in neuropsychological assessment in a medicolegal context, our assessments have been refined to offer a comprehensive evaluation and detailed, professional report compiled with expertise and efficiency.

Assessment Services

We offer neuropsychological and psychological assessments/reports for various matters:

Road Accident Fund claims

The serious injury assessments will include the applicable whole person impairment rating (i.e. MSCHIF and MBD), according to the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. This is to be combined by a medical practitioner (CIME) in the RAF4 Form

Personal Injury claims

Neuropsychological and/or psychological assessments of clients who have sustained injuries due to misconduct or negligence, resulting in loss of earnings, pain and suffering. These may include physical injuries resulting in disability, brain injuries or psychological trauma

Insurance/Disability

Neuropsychological assessments required for the purposes of insurance or disability benefit claims following a neurological injury or diagnosis

A neuropsychological assessment can aid in determining if a patient is ready to return to work/school following a head injury/stroke/neurological diagnosis

A neuropsychological assessment is a requirement when applying for the appointment of a curator

Psychological assessment of trauma, pain and suffering endured by individuals wrongfully arrested. In cases where the claimant also suffered a head injury in the process, a neuropsychological assessment would be warranted

We are registered services providers for the Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS), providing cognitive and psychological assessments to air traffic personnel. Assessments serve to rule out neurocognitive or psychological disturbances which may impair judgement and pose a risk to the safety of the airman and passengers
